The Asiatic Society
1. A two-day seminar on WORLD DIABETES DAY to be organized by The Asiatic Society, Kolkata, Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), West Bengal & Diabetic Association of India (DAI), West Bengal will be held on 14th & 15th November 2008 at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. respectively at the Vidyasagar Hall of the Asiatic Society.
2. Professor Amalendu De, former Guru Nanak Professor of Indian History, Jadavpur University and former President, The Asiatic Society, Kolkata, will deliver Swami Pranabananda Memorial Lecture on the theme Swami Pranabananda as a Socio-religious Reformer on Friday, 14th November 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Vidyasagar Hall of the Asiatic Society.
3. A two-day International Seminar on INDIA-CHINA INTERFACE AND THE ROAD AHEAD will be held on 28th & 29th November 2008 at 10:30 a.m. each day in the premises of the Asiatic Society.
4. A two-day seminar on CENTENARY CELEBRATION : CONTRIBUTIONS OF CLAUDE LEVI STRAUSS will be held on 18m and 19m December 2008 at 10:30 am each day in the premises of the Asiatic Society.
4. A day-long Seminar on the life and works on Madanmohan Tarkalankar to commemorative his 150th death anniversary on 3ra January 2009 at 12 noon in the premises of the Asiatic Society.
5. A three-day International Seminar on APPLICATIONS OF ANTHROPOLOGIOCAL RESEARCHES IN HUMAN LIFE on January 7, 8 & 9, 2009 on the occasion of 225,h year Foundation Day Celebration of the Asiatic Society.
6. The inauguration of the 6m International Csoma de Koros Conference jointly organized by the Asiatic Society and Department of Indo-Tibetan Studies, Visva-Bharati will be held on 10lh March 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vidyasagar Hall of the Asiatic Societyu andc other academic sessions will be held on 11* 12th & 13m March 2009 at Visva-Bharati.
